Claire is the heir to the Council seat and has been kidnapped by the Guard who is a rebellion organization for shifters who do not want to follow the rules. They want to make their own rules. Nikolai used to be a part of the Guard but fell for Claire and broke away and is now on the run.  I have to say this book was very good at keeping me captive. I loved watching the relationship develop between Claire and Nikolai. This book has a lot of action, romance and some mystery. I truly love this series by Zoe Ashwood. She does a wonderful job of world and character building. I also like that you get to still see characters from other books in the series in this book. Ms Ashwood is a great writer in that she can make the story flow and you do not have to go back to make sure you read what you just read, or make you stumble as you read. She is definitely an author I will be following from now on and I am looking forward to seeing her next book in the series come out.

Fans herself profusely!!!!! Definitely HOTTTTTT!!!!! Oh my gosh! I love Milly Taiden's work but she has outdone herself on this book! I have to say Scent of a Mate made me VERY happy the hubby went to bed early so I could continue reading. I read this book in a couple of hours. It is a fast read but packed with so much hotness. The only complaint I had was that it ended! I definitely can't wait till the next book in the Sassy Mates series by Milly Taiden. This book had it all. There was action, romance and definitely steamy love scenes! I went to bed wishing the hubby had not gone to bed early in the end!! I think though the best part of this book was watching all the relationships grow and looking forward to how they will grow in the future! A definite read for anyone who is looking for a hot paranormal shifter romance!!!

Emilia is a human who does not know she is half bear shifter until she is attacked in a bar and a sexy man named Jason turns into a wolf in front of her.  Her life is then turned upside down. This book is about Emilia and Jason and their struggles to find their way in the human and shifter worlds.  I love pretty much everything Paranormal romance and I was excited to read this book.  The description sounded very interesting.  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to find it was pretty much what I was expecting.  I enjoyed seeing Emilia grow as both a human and a bear shifter.  And I loved watching her find her inner strength throughout the book. Jason was just sexy as heck.  I will definitely be adding him to my list of book boyfriends for sure.  I felt Jason was strong yet tender and caring when needed to be.  But at the same time, he could be fierce in his protection of Emilia and any others that meant a lot to him.   Zoe Ashwood writes very smooth and it was very eas

The writing itself was solid. This story line was very interesting and kept me engrossed. It was a bit different from what I was used to reading but was something I ended up loving all the way through. I have to say I absolutely LOVED the lead female character. She has confidence, spunk and a take no s*** from anyone attitude. My kind of woman! I loved the interactions between her and the many male characters. Each male character had his own personality and it went along with the female character great. The only thing I really did not like about this story was at times, it seemed like the storyline was dragging a bit. It was not enough for me to put the book down, but you would get through and action scene which were VERY intense and action packed, and then you would go into a bit of world building and character development that would go on a bit longer than needed it seemed. Again though as I said, it did not make me want to put down the book and I still did not want to skip through

I have read this series more than once.  Each time I read it I fall in love with it more and more. I loved this book immensely. Ellie and Fury definitely have a very interesting relationship. Ellie meets Fury in a lab for a company she is trying to take down. Fury is a mysterious lab experiment who Ellie is fascinated with. Once the company is exposed, Ellie and Fury go their separate ways. After some time they run into each other and the meeting is explosive. Very exciting! I won't tell you more since I will probably give parts away. What I will tell you is this book is both HOT and Leave you on the edge of your seat exciting! The writing is smooth and flows nicely. There is not too much detail or not enough. The romance (HOT SCENES) is just that, HOT. I would not necessarily say it's a romance in the fact of roses and candy and candles. It has been a while since I have read this book but wanted to support one of my favorite authors, Dannika Dark.  I remember when I downloaded the sample to this book I was not sure if I would like it. I finally talked myself into reading it and shortly after starting I actually kicked myself since I took so long to read it. Dannika Dark is one of the best authors out there in my opinion. In her books she writes flawlessly. I was able to follow her book and not have to jump back and forth to figure out who people were. Her writing just flows and keep you going. She throws in action, suspense, and mystery. This book was all of that plus it had me chuckling throughout. There is not a ton of romance which is fine. Sometimes you need a break from romance. Chemical Reaction is a book about a man and woman who work together to try to bring down a deadly drug and the people who want to distribute it. This book is not normally in a genre I would read but since it is based in Michigan I wanted to read it. I have to say I am glad I did. This book was definitely a good book. I loved the interaction with all the characters. And in all actuality, I preferred the interaction between the lead female character Madeline and the FBI team of her Fiance Joe. The banter between all of them and the humor they had was very fun to read. I also loved that this book was not a sex fest. I tend to read very sexual books even sometimes erotica and every now and then its nice to read something that is more centered on the action and the story than the characters getting it on. WHOA!! This is one action packed HOTT book! I normally read paranormal romance books but wanted to give something different a try. This book is about a woman and a man who are after the same item and their worlds collide. They learn they have to work together to survive and get the item to the correct people. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this book. This author created a story that has tons of action. Sometimes in books while there is action, it is not described with enough detail to let you picture it in your mind. Well this author manages to do just that. The action scenes which were plentiful were well described and I felt like I was right in the action. The love scenes were also very steamy. With the adrenaline rush from the action and the hot scenes, this book kept me up late at night reading. It is a definite must have for any reader who likes action packed romances!!! I will definitely be reading the next books in this series for sure!
